Our resilient old barn cat. He adopted us a year ago when his health was challenged. His journey of adapting to old age and health challenges(seizures and his legs giving out).
A few times we thought he was passing on. As he would lay there quietly for a period of time, I swear he was building new neuro-pathways to adapt to new ways of walking as a result of a limp back-end and not able to walk. Because shortly after he was able to walk and before long run up the stairs.
After changing his diet, there was another remarkable change. We didn’t realize that changing his diet(old paradigm thinking-Purina Cat Chow to more nutritious diet) would make such an impact. These changes mirror our own paths, when we know better we can do better.
He reminds us of the valuable lessons of adaptability, positive change and old age doesn’t have to stop you!
Mindset shifts, and positive change, no matter how small, can lead to significant transformations.
